When former FBI Director James Comey said Donald Trump, during their initial post-election meetings, appeared to act like a Mob Boss I thought, "Bingo!" The President of the United States is a Mob Boss, Mr. Comey, and you better understand just what that means! Worldwide, every leader is essentially a Mob Boss. Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong Un and Hassan Rouhani are Mob Bosses, plain and simple. National leaders of all persuasions oversee massive hierarchies of subordinates, and handle enormous economies. They decide who lives and who dies when it comes to war with other families (countries). What is the essential difference between the leader of a crime family and the leader of a nation? Legitimacy is a separate issue, but the person who directs the pieces on the chessboard is the boss, no matter how they came to power. I like the idea that our new boss appears strong, decisive and a little crazy. Coming across as slightly unhinged is precisely what makes the other guys flinch. Having a Mob Boss acting on our behalf when the other families are restless is a good thing for America. Comey said he was shocked when Trump said, "I demand loyalty." Donald Trump often says "You don't have a country if you don't have a border." I would argue you don't have a leader if you don't have a boss. You don't have a family if you don't have a Don that demands loyalty. We can't have the lieutenants running the organization. That is precisely why the Deep State represents such a threat to our constitutional Republic. America has had several weak-kneed bosses of late. George W. Bush and Barack Obama tried to manage by consensus. Their coalitions collapsed and their subordinates ran amok. Their adversaries were emboldened, and challenged them at every opportunity, and the Beltway bureaucracy kept spending, growing and vacillating. Tribal conflicts broke out all over the planet, and within our American Family. In 2015, a tough guy from New York volunteered to be The New Don, and clawed his way to the top of the hierarchy. He promised to restore authority and accountability, to get tough on trade and security. He said he would be the new sheriff in a town that hadn't had one for over a decade. He put the opposition on notice, things were going to change. Trump's battle for control with the Deep State is not much different than any other historic La Cosa Nostra family war. Back in the 80s mob families were conflicted about entering the opioid business. Some families insisted it was a good business while others thought it would bring an end to their little secret. Trump supporters believe the progressive policies of the Obama/Clinton Clan were leading the country into a irrevocable decline. They feared the abandonment of our borders would destroy our sovereignty. They worried that growing government and taxes were destroying individual incentive, eroding our worldwide economic leadership and further undermining our own economy. Many believed our country needed new blood and a new direction, to rebuild our infrastructure, to bring back jobs, and to strengthen our military. So voters put a guy with a Mob Boss mentality in charge. Hillary's clan believed they were disrespected by the Trump clan. So Deep State proxies like Comey, Mueller, Brennan and CNN are orchestrating a mob war by using the media and the courts to create chaos and controversy, to stir up the public against their adversaries. Instead of a hit man, they use the media to assassinate Trump's character and delegitimize his leadership. They spike the news with salacious stories about infidelity, misogyny or questionable financial deals, and saturate entertainment with hate speech. To take him down, they used a fake hit piece like the Steele Dossier instead of a handgun in a Manhattan restaurant. Having packed courts with sympathetic judges under Obama, they then use judicial power to raid the offices of the President's personal attorney and confiscate all of his private records (most of which have nothing to do with the basis of the search warrant). Special prosecutor Mueller threatens witnesses and charges associates of Trump with tangential felonies to remove them from the front lines and intimidate lesser operatives. The Deep State is going "to the mattresses" against the Trump Agenda. Maybe that explains, Mr. Comey, why The Donald is acting like a Don. |
